Essie Sensitivity Base Coat

IMG_0564

I am in love with this stuff ! If you back log through my blog you'll see I used to have acrylic nails and since having them removed after 3+ years my nails now are still so weak , flaky and they break all the time . Any form of treatment for my nails is going to help and get them growing so I picked this bottle of goodness up from The Original Factory shop for just £3 ! Bargain . If you Google it you can find it for about £10 . As far as I can see it is no longer available from Essie .

What it does An hypoallergenic formula for the most sensitive skin. Helps hydrate the nail to prevent peeling and splitting, while providing a smooth surface for nail polish application.

Why I love it My nails are growing and not breaking so now it's the bigger the better . And they are stronger than before , I've noticed they are a lot less brittle and there is barely any peeling .  It holds on to which ever top coat I choose to apply , there is no chipping here : ] This may be my new nail saviour .

Would I buy it again ? Yes , as long as it continues to show signs of benefiting my nails then I'll continue to layer it on .

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo

Christmas Time

I wish it was socially expectable to play dress up all day long , I'd strut around all day and night in beautiful sparkly tutu's with big hair and lots of makeup . . . I suppose the cast of The Only Way Is Essex do it 24/7 , so why can't I . My last glittery post got me thinking about all things puff ball and sequins galore . These two make my eyes super happy . Both from Topshop of course and I am in love . I might just get them to wear around the house .

105 Days This Christmas

57A5E625-B6E0-488D-B1E1-49D4CFAA9D5D-100-00000005BB91F531
How beautiful is this beauty ? I was dragging my little heels around sunny town on Saturday afternoon (it was so hot) and while flicking through the rails in Topshop I laid eyes upon this hugely sparkly pretty dress . I ain't gonna fib , I have no idea how much it was because I was to busy taking pictures of it for my Instagram to even look at the price tag but others online are between £60 - £80 . With Christmas fast approaching , we all need our festive party frocks for Christmas parties and just for those merry nights out . Do you love it ?

EOS Honeysuckle Lip Balm

EOS - EvolutionOfSmooth

I know I am bit behind the times reviewing this months after everyone has already raved about this little gem but I only just brought myself one and I like to not be like everyone else sometimes . The other day I was looking through my 'Watch' list on eBay and noticed these had gone down in price (£3ish) so I nabbed myself one for my new lip product addiction , theres more lip posts to come !

Why I love it ? So this little pro active beaut is GREAT . It comes as a solid dome which is the big selling point . I like the idea of the less mess , less stress easy application . . . no little germies going from your fingers to the product , just a quick swipe to apply . It leaves your lips smooth , soft and smelling sweet .

Con's
1 . Although the smell is sweet and yummy , it is a bit to sickly for me so I've ordered the Sweet Mint version in hope that the scent won't be so overpowering . Don't be put off though , you may love this scent .
2 . EOS don't do a cakey version , all the scents are fruity . I am a vanilla , rich cakey kinda gal .
3 . The packaging states that the product contains antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil I feel it should in the long run leave my lips feeling the benefits after the balm has worn off

Would I buy it again ? Big , fat yes ! Because of it's easy to appeal dome and no sticky mess , I think I am gonna have these floating around in the bottom of my bag for a long time .

Has anyone tried the Balmi version ? I need more . . . help a girl out ! ! !

Swimming In Knitwear

Sunday Wants

Yeah you see it right , that is a wishlist of swimwear and wooly knitwear . Totally opposite ends of the seasons I no . I would wear knitwear all year round if I could , but I look like a right plonk when the sun is shining and I'm struting round like Shaun The Sheep . Anyway these are some pieces I want and half I will sadly never own . Pretty things are expensive .

Sweet Pea For My Sweet Pea

I had to show you guys this sale bargain cheap lippy I nabbed from the Jack Wills sale for £2 ! Two  freaking quid ! Can I grubble . . . err nop . I would of had more but there was nothing left that took me fancy . This particular one is shade SweetPea . It's a coraly powder pink . . . It reminds me of the MAC Viva Glam Nicki that is out at the moment but a little less neon . It's got staying power and it's glossy smooth . I wouldn't say Wills are known for their make up range but I was more than impressed with this beaut .  If you see any left in stores , swatch away and get a bargain . End of , great sale catch from Jack Wills .

Have you tried any beauty products from Jack Wills ? Let me know : ]

Nars Tinted Moisturiser

mosaic87891167379d7076abf89eca1170b0f5061acc15

I first heard about this after watching a video on Sammi's Aka BeautyCrush's YouTube channel a few weeks ago . I had been desperately wanting to get myself a tinted moisturiser because a full on foundation is just to heavy for this hot , clammy weather we've been having . So while in Bristol last month I tracked down the Nars counter , got myself matched up and grabbed myself a tube . Turns out . . . I love it . I love it . I love it . It's so perfect , it's like your skin but a million times better . It was all I needed and more .

Coverage It makes my skin look so natural and perky , like I have no make up on my face . Because it's a moisturiser , it leaves your skin with a little dewy finish . It is not meant to provide as much coverage as your usually foundation does , so if you want help covering blemishes then you can top up any problem areas with your concealer .

Upkeep Like every face product from now and then you have to reapply or fix the product to keep it looking fresh and perfect . Don't expect this to stay in place all day long , it stays put but if your leaning on your face or get hot and sweaty then it's gonna budge a bit .

Would I buy it again Ooh yes , I'd be more likely to pick it up more often in the summer months than the winter because in winter I want more coverage . When I am using it it feels like I am doing my skin some good , letting it breathe and unclog .

Now I really really really want to try the Nars Sheer glow foundation ! What do you think ? Do you have a favourite tinted moisturiser ? Are you a Nars addict ?

HappyFeet

On my feet

I brought these pretty puppies a few weeks ago while out for the day with the boy in super wet Cambridge . I'd just like to put out there just how much I loved the Cambridge branch of Topshop . . . it was three levels of amazingness ! If you don't no where it is then it's located in the Grand Arcade shopping centre , well worth a look if you are near by . Anyway I travelled all that way because they were the only branch that had these pumps in stock , yes I wanted them that badly . I love them . All their cuteness makes my stinky feet so happy . They were about £30ish , which I think is a lot for what they are but thats Topshop for you . They also come in black , pink , yellow and brown if you fancy a pair . Mmm shoes .

Lush Tea Tree Water

IMG_3363
IMG_3362
Toner Water
Comes to the aid of skin that has emergencies, Tea tree is a wonder antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial ingredients for anyone with oily or spot prone skin.

I had seen this floating around on people blogs , youtube videos and friends bathrooms for a while now and I had picked it up a few times but never thought I really needed it but while browsing the Lush store in Bristol I saw it and had the sudden urge to try it out so I finally got it and I am glad I did . I don't really have a skin routine and I thought it was about time I took better care of my face . So all in all it's a goody that is just good to have around , be it in the bottom of your handbag to just to freshen up your skin or to tone after cleansing , this product makes your face super happy . I think I just like the thought a spraying some goodness on my face . It's so refreshing and it has made my skin brighter , cleaner and fresher , which is all a plus when trying something new and your expectations are high. I'd recommend trying this out this summer as it's just that little moisture surge your face needs .

Are there any Lush goodies you'd recommend ?

Essie Eternal Optimist

IMG_9677
IMG_9678
IMG_9676

I hate having a day off at the weekend and having nothing to do , makes my life seem really dull , so I've had a cheeky power nap with the puppy and now I am currently catching up on Cherry Healey How To Get A Life episodes I've missed over the past few weeks and I've stripped and repainted my nails , they were looking a tad rank .  Take a look at them now .

As we all know Boots became a stockist of the guilty pleasure polishes by Essie and this was the first one I brought , my first ever full size Essie nail varnish . I've had it a month or two now but just hadn't gotten round to showing it to you .

It's so prettyful . . . The colour is best described as a dusky dirty pink shade , no glitter but looks super with sparkly coat over the top . I love the Essie bottle brushes , the corners are curved for that quick easy application and no mess . I find , like with the other Essies polishes , the polish doesn't chip away , it tends to wears at the edges . Perfect polishes which ever shade you choose .

Have you indulged in cheeky new Essie polishes recently ?

So we just got back from a lush little break in Cornwall . Firstly we headed over to bustling Bristol for a few days to collect our friendlings , while we were there we hit Cabots Circle (Haul Post Coming) , drank a lot and ate until we exploded . We then drove the second half of the drive down to Cornwall . I love Cornwall so much , it's really beautiful and so laid back , we had a great time just hanging out and spending time together . All the pictures above are from our little adventure . Happy Sunday everyone .

Mr. Big

IMG_9568

I just had to show you this because I am that in love with it right now . As you'll of maybe spotted in my last post (see below) , there was a statement necklace from Topshop in my wishlist collage . Just after publishing this post , my better half walks in with a little Topshop bag hidden under his coat . . . I love surprise 'I've just brought you a present' presents . . . and inside was that very necklace . How he knew is a mystery to me , maybe the picture I sent him during the week was the clue .

So clearly it's from Topshop , like everything else I own , so sad but so true . It was £16.50 , which I isn't to bad for a chunky statement piece and some of the Topshop jewellery is pricey . I love it ! It's all silver , aztec and beautiful . It has been in store for a little while and I don't no why I just hadn't brought it before but I have it now and in time for my Cornwall trip . Happy days .

Cream

Cornish Dreams

How has everyones week been ? The sun has been shining ☀ and I have been working *sobs* but hopefully you've all been able to enjoy the sun at some point or another . This crazy weather is driving us all nutty , rain one moment then hot sun the next . . . make your mind up ! I am hoping the sun will stay present for the next week or two . . . It's seven beautiful days until my adventure to Cornwall . OMG I realised my love for clotted cream yesterday so I am going to come back fat . Anyway the boy , me and two of our friends are going down to (fingers crossed) sunny Cornwall to eat pasties , see family , just hang out together really and have a good time . We are stopping off in Bristol first to cut the drive in half and start our holiday at our friends . Now I am more than so excited because Bristol obviously has the Cabot Circus shopping centre and that shopping centre holds an American Apparel and an Urban Outfitters ! ! ! I think most probably this is the bit of our holiday that I am most excited about . I can't wait to send my payday pennies and pick up all the goodies I've been wanting all month , I've been poor for the past few weeks and the above are just what I am going to start off with .

Clinique's Chubby Stick

IMG_9539
IMG_9530
IMG_9557-1

They are back ! The super lush (not so all that the first time round) Chubby Sticks from Clinique . This time though they are so much better , packing a punch with a much larger choice of lip licking shades , 16 in fact . You have so many to indulge in , from Chunky Cherry to Voluptuous Violet , theres a colour for everyone . So sleek and compact they are perfect for your make up bag or to just throwing in the bottom of your purse . And it is just so moisturising , I put it on an hour later my lips are still soft and covered in colour . This is no tacky , sticky balm . . . it's pure smooth , moveable balm . The only real down side is they don't have any scent *frown* . Yeah I know none of the Clinique products are  scented but this product would have been so unbelievably perfect with a yummy , sticky , jelly smell , I say that would of been a huge selling point , everyone loves a juicy smelling lip product . Either way I can safely say I love these ! By the way the one I've swatched here is Heaping Hazelnut , a nude brown . Which colour next ?

I actually won this particular Chubby Stick via Twitter . I am a follower of Clinique and happened to see the other day that they were giving a Chubby Stick away a day , such a great way to give back to your followers . All you have to do is go to their Twitter , find their giveaway tweet and tell them your favourite Chubby Stick . . . Simple ! So next time your hoovering over that retweet to win and think ooh I'll never win , hit it as someone has to win , you have nothing to lose : ]

OOTD

IMG_9487
IMG_9441

I lied . . . this would be my OOTD if the weather was on my side . I got these the other week but still haven't worn them because of the , well lets not go into it .  Brits can get a tad touchy about the weather . Anyway these shorts Ooh these shorts . . . I tried them on a number of times (you've probably seen them on my Twitter & Instagram) and never brought them but then I wanted them because they weren't available anymore but the deadly 'last chance to buy' rail came to the rescue . I am confuzzeled though . . . I am a 28 waist in all my Topshop jeans and my trousers are all 10's but these 30 waist hotpant shorts will only just do up , they are tiny but I couldn't just leave them all alone in the store so I brought them home with me . I don't care it there a tad tight , I'll make them fit . . . goodbye pasta and bread : [ I also got a cute piece of oversized knitwear , whipped from the deserted sale rail , £15 (was £32!) boom mine . It is petite but me , my friend and the changing room ladygirl agreed the cropped petite looked better than the normal longer slouchy one . I am sure I am not the only one that sometimes shops the petite & tall section right ?

Have you nabbed yourself any bargains recently ? There are sales , most rather poor , everywhere . Just to make you aware , Topshop are in sale again : ] Online and instore .

DateNight OOTD

IMG_9406
Me and the boy went out and about for some dinner on datenight this week . We went to the oh so faithful Prezzo for our Italian fix , I ain't gonna lie , my olives were mouldy , how could they : [ Anyway this is what I slouched to dinner in , I am ashamed as this is such a quick lazy thrown together outfit , I just rolled in from work and boom whacked on what I could see . So theres the good old skinnies , oversized knitwear and messy hair . I didn't even take a bag , just lippy in my pocket and my iPhone .

Jeans - Topshop Baxter
Jumper - Old Topshop
Scarf - Topshop
Ring - River Island
Bracelet - Vintage
Nails - Leighton Denny Supermodel
Tan - St Moriz : ]

I just can't nail these outfit posts . . . grr . I can't get the right light , no one is ever around to check I am even in the frame and I can't resize these frecking pictures , complete failure . I'll get there , just not right now .

Freebie alert With Harper's Bazaar this month is a free full size Leighton Denny nail varnish . There were three shades available as far as I could see . Harper's Bazaar is £4.20 and the polishes rrp at £11+ , bargain . I grabbed the magazine with the 'Supermodel' inside . It is a super glossy chocolate milky colour and is stylish , muted and nude for when ever you like , would be cute with a gold tip .  I love it . . . end of .

MAC Lazy Sunday

IMG_9330
IMG_9345
IMG_9352

I got my MAC fix this week while out in Cambridge for a little day trip with my better-half . We had a lovely day planned out but then rain dampened everything . I wanted to adventure around the city but in the end we stuck to the dry Grand Arcade shopping centre , which  was rather impressive and worth a visit . Anyway , Cambridge has a tiny winy MAC store , adjoining John Lewis , I just 'popped' in while passing by and grabbed this little treat for myself . It is from the new Casual Colours collection , all lovely products but not all for me . There are seven other shades to choose from , this one was my fave so in my bag it went . Lazy Sunday is a typical Baby Pink , all bubblegum and sweet . It's a super multi tasker , it can be used as either a cheeky lip colour or a yummy blush or both . Aww 2 in 1 , perfect for your make up bag . . . Thank you MAC !

Hope you've all had a beautiful weekend and are finally enjoying the sun and it's shine . Happy Sunday everyone .

Nip + Fab Pistachio Sundae

IMG_9291
IMG_9293

I first came across this a few day's ago via mooching through some blogs . From what I could see , this product was a pretty spiffing dupe of the Laura Mercier Creme De Pistache Souffle body cream . I always take a dip into the body souffle's when passing a Laura Mercier counter ,  but I've never purchased a jar as they rrp at £45ish , which I personally think is  madness for body butter (not saying I'd never buy it though) . So when I saw this and what it was claimed to be I was like I need it . For £8.49 , it's a product I couldn't refuse trying and off to Boots I went .

Did it make my skin all kinds of yum ? Yes , it made my skin soft and moisturised and lovely , it does take a minute or two to soak in though . This tube is meant for a Dry Skin Fix but you can use it for any skin type , sometimes just because it is specified for certain skin types doesn't mean you can't use it .
Did it smell as good as the Laura Mercier version ? Yes , very much but just like the Laura Mercier souffles it is super sweet . The Laura Mercier souffle version does have a strong hit of marzipan , which the Nip + Fab doesn't . So due to that fact , in all honesty I prefer the Nip + Fab version . If offered both , I'd pick Nip + Fab .
Would I buy it again ? Yes , because of it's certain Laura Mercier qualities and the fact I am a sucker for a yummy body butter I'd pop this one in my basket when I start running low .

I'd advise giving it a go , at around the £8 mark for a really close Laura Mercier dupe (if anything, better) you can't really go wrong , it's a bargain . Good for your skin and your pocket .

Ooh what a beautiful morning , Ooh what a beautiful day . What is with this unexpected hottie weather ? Boom sunshine & heat and it has fallen on perfect timing , perfectly perfect . My cousin and her husband had their cuteickle daughters Rihanna & Mia christened this afternoon and the weather was on our side for this super special event . After the church I went a little crazy with the camera and this is what I came up with . Family and friends soaking up the rays ,  pregnant  beauties avoiding the sun , kids having a water fight and everyone filled up with a ton of food and wine , enjoying time together . Happy Saturday .
